M&D Market Research Company has conducted the market research with totally 400 sample which half of them are H&F MP3 users and another half are iGADGET MP3 users to measure the satisfaction in 6 aspects in this February. They also compare the local market share's percentage of two MP3 players from March 2010 to February 2011.

3.1 Overall performance
According to the research about the users satisfaction of two MP3 players, the design, functions and headphone quality of are the major problems that H&F MP3 users not satisfied compare to iGADGET MP3 users. The overall satisfaction of our company's MP3 is only around half while three out of five users are satisfied with the iGADGET MP3. Our MP3 players has significantly lower market share than iGADGET.
3.2 Design
Fewer than half of users are satisfied our MP3 players design while more than 80% of users are satisfied with iGADGET's design. This is caused by the size of our MP3 players is too big and the design is old fashion. It is difficult for users to carry the MP3 players which are inconvenience and unattractive.
3.3 Functions
The research shows that more than one-third of users are satisfied with the functions of our MP3 players while nearly two-third of users are satisfied with the functions of iGADGET one. This might be because our MP3 players require installation of software program to transfer music files but iGADGET MP3 players can simply use the drag-and-drop to transfer music files. It is not user-friendly for them to use.
3.4 Headphone quality
More than three-fifth of users are dissatisfied with our MP3 player's headphone quality while only two- fifth users are dissatisfied with iGADGET's one. It is evident that the quality control of our company may not be well developed because our MP3 players are made in Malaysia. A result of this is that the reputation of our MP3 players is deteriorated.
3.5 Market share
The Market share of H&F MP3 player slightly fluctuated from March to August between 19 to 23% . After August, the market kept decline from 22% to only 13% in February. While the overall market share of iGADGET maintained over 53% in the research period. The reason behind is the celebrity spokesperson to promote our MP3 players is Felix Chan , who is a 49-year old, may not be good to represent our product image.
